A query by Cul_lector about a Chilean Columbus stamp had me thinking about a topical thread dedicated to the explorer. A search found numerous threads regarding Columbian issues, and one from our friend Wadmalatz with some interesting stamps depicting the gentleman.

So let's see all your Columbus stamps here. I know there's lots.
I'll start off with this currency proof (shown before)

as well as a Chilean similar to Mr. Lector's (any relation to Hannibal?)

Bring 'em on!

Here is an image of an engraved stamp-on-stamp depicting a Chile stamp of 1853 (Scott No. 1) featuring a profile portrait of Columbus, and issued by Chile on October 15, 1953 to commemorate the centenary of Chile's first postage stamps, Scott No. 276, SG No. 421.
