Here is something I've seen on other forums, and always thought it was cool because anyone with used stamps, covers or postcards can participate. The idea is to post your stamps or philatelic items, each day, that are postmarked on that particular day, regardless of year. I'll start Today's date is the 28th of January Stamp is Canada, Scott 375 Dated 28 Jan, 1958 From Innisfree, Alberta Canada ....and GO!

Not sure if I have any leap year cancels. For me, cancels are a bi-product of accumulating 1000's of duplicates. As I get to mounting my country collections, the cancels are piling up. So, every once in a while take a stock sheet full and scan them in. I keep them in folders, by the month. I missed out on the 29th, since I didn't have one. So, here is my offering for today. The stamp is from Belgium, Scott 65 Dated 30 January, 1895 Anyone else? |

Collecting FDCs with postmarks from each day of the year might be fun and challenging.

A calendar collection could be fun.
I had a big rummage and couldn't find a 29 February, which isn't to say I don't have one. I still have some boxes to go through! |

Awesome idea! Is that necessary to have the year too? I mean, example,if I have a stamp cancelled with the "24th of May" date, is that necessary to have the year too?

> Awesome idea! Is that necessary to have the year too? Depends on how much material you have. It is challenging enough to build a calendar of every month and day regardless of year, but if you have enough stamps and can build a calendar with stamps dated every day of any specific year(s), go for it. Here is my calendar collection for each day in the month of January on USA 3 cent stamps. |
