Oh, my. I had been under the perhaps erroneous impression that he had been providing care for another family member. (Of course, one doesn't preclude the other.)

Sending heartfelt condolences to his family. He will be missed.

I am so sorry about his passing. I loved IkeyPikey's insights, humor and wit. IkeyPikey will be very missed, and remembered in many good ways. My sincere condolences go out to IkeyPikey's family and friends.

So sad to hear that news. He was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed. I enjoyed his posts and comments over the years. His comments on this forum, and other forums, could make me laugh out loud, he was so funny at times. My thoughts and prayers go out to his daughter, family, and friends. Rest in peace, my friend.

Sad indeed and my condolences to his family. I was wondering where he had been just last night. Loved his commentary and way of thinking about things.

Bobby

Thank you. Michael and I had been in regular email contact for several years - none of it about stamps - and, given I last heard from him on 14 February, I was wondering if I'd upset him. I only wish that had been the reason for radio silence.

Rest in peace, my friend.

Geoff

I always enjoyed his posts and was amazed how much mileage
he got out of discussing just a single post card or postmark.

He contributed to this forum in a fun way and will be missed.

Condolences to his family.

We did not publicize it here, but Ikey and I had lunch three or four times in Manhattan, and met up at Collectors Club meetings, during my periodic business trips there in 2017-2019. It was a long subway ride in from Queens for him, but he always enthusiastically accepted an invitation. Our chats, inevitably over huge portions of Italian food somewhere near 57th & 7th, ranged from postcards, postal history, and stamp shows to raising kids and elder care. He always arrived early to sneak a whiskey before the meal. He was always happy and talkative even when it was clear that he was bearing a heavy burden at home, and he was proud of his daughter and spoke often of her talents. I was glad to know him and will miss his wit and breaking bread with him when I resume New York visits.

Very shocking news indeed!!
I got to know Michael Storch a.k.a. IkeyPikey when he bombarded me with e-mail regarding the nuances of Mahajani and Modi scripts found on Indian covers. He was very inquisitive about Indian orthography and culture in general.
Also he did like to talk about his daughter's talents.

RIP Michael.

ikey Pikey was one of the sharper knives in the box, highlighted by his sense of wry humor. We will certainly miss him.

Condolences to his daughter and family.

Sad news indeed. Although he and I did not always agree on ever topic we remained friends and enjoyed sending each other surprise parcels of philatelic goodies. I am sure that he is looking down on us while he sits among a huge pile of postcards.
