The more serious segments of my collection focus on U.S. and (recently) Canada, but I'd like to branch out and start compiling an inexpensive worldwide collection. The last few issues of the monthly Linn's Stamp News has included a separate brochure from Nordfrim advertising their stamp mixes, as well as supplies. In another thread, folks had good things to say about Nordfrim in terms of supplies, but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with buying their stamp mixes that they wouldn't mind sharing. If so, would particularly be interested in opinions of value for the money, degree of duplication, inclusion of CTOs or cinderellas, etc. Not expecting to find any hidden nuggets in these mixes, just piles of interesting stamps to enjoy rummaging through and organizing.

As always, thanks for any help you can provide.

While I was pleased with supplies I purchased from Nordfrim, I was never really overwhelmed by any stamp purchase. Several years ago I bought kiloware and approval books (both new and remainders) and recall being less than impressed. I think I only felt I got a bit of value from a German monastery kiloware mixture.

I've been more happy with mixtures purchased from ebay seller ricarmic. He has lots of variety and gives a very good description of what's included in each lot (many times showing the stamps included).

I've often been tempted to try the mixtures reviewed by E. Rawolik in Linn's. Many of them sound like really good, fun deals, and they're mostly quite inexpensive.

I've never bought mixes from Nordfrim, but I was wondering the same thing.

I've rarely been disappointed from sellers advertising in the Linn's classifieds. Most of them deliver pretty good value for the money - sometimes an outright astounding value for the money. I rarely have that same experience buying cheap mixes on eBay, they always seem to be the same picked over, common stamps that always turn up.

Well, it looks like not many from this forum have purchased stamps from Nordfrim. Thanks to those who replied to this thread. I have purchased a handful of mixes from the sellers in the Linn's classifieds and they were interesting. Maybe I'll give Nordfrim a small purchase just for the heck of it and see how it goes.

I bought 3 packs of kiloware from Nordfrim. Packages from Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands and Iceland. The package from Liechtenstein containing very many stamps from first day covers. The package from the Faeroe Islands had some ATM labels and some stamps from first day covers. Iceland was the best package, postal used stamps and only few stamps that were powerful duplicated.

About six months ago I decided to start collecting Hungary and started with three packets and a 2016 Hungarian catalog, all from Nordfrim for about $50 US (not including shipping)

I started with about 1700 stamps, a nice assortment with some duplicates since they were separate packets. It was a good start, but Hungary is not too expensive to collect. I have not tried their kiloware or other countries, but look at their catalog regularly for anything "interesting."

I've been buying several ounces of world kiloware at Nordfrim, aka Collectwereld in Dutch.
Also bought some packs of souvenir sheets from DPRK.

Always good products received and low shipping costs for shipping to the Netherlands.
Happy Nordfrim/Collectwereld costumer!

Greetings Ricky93

Yes, I have purchased from them several times over the past year. Make sure you read the descriptions of what you are buying. I have only purchased 2 kilowares and, although there may be some duplication, they contained good stuff. Make sure you also know if you are getting on or off paper. I have purchased several MNH accumulations and found that to be WELL WORTH the money. If you go the MNH route also read the descriptions to verify if they are complete sets, duplications, etc. Also watch for the FREE SHIPPING information! Good luck and let us know what you think.

I've made one purchase from Nordfrim, and I won't hesitate to buy specialist packets from them again when the time comes. I will say that if you are going to buy worldwide assortments that don't give specific details, expect to find a good amount of CTO wallpaper and a few African cinderella series. Although they have also included Cuban and North Korean stamps that are supposedly off limits in the US.

There shipping chages are reasonable, have bought 2 different on paper mixture from the, Ok as this type goes.
I trade or sell the duplication which can be heavy of some issues.

I bought a Worldwide kiloware from them recently, and the box was completely full. Mostly Western European and Nordic, but there were a few other countries thrown in. Also a couple of postcards, and I was pleased with my purchase. An unexpected bonus was a glassine with some mint stamps, and a note saying they normally use stamps to mail, but since I was in the US this was their of making up for it. I thought that was a class move.
