The man in the stamp is working at:

- some kind of loom?

- a parabolic solar concentrator?

- a bisected oil drum => BBQ?

Cheers,

/s/ ikeyPikey

My GrandPa bought two portable manual square-font typewriters, one of which I used throughout high school & college & beyond; a little googling got me nowhere and, for the life of me, I cannot remember the manufacturer & model, though I'm guessing Olivetti. Check out the job title of the addressee!
