Here is an image of a stamp depicting an Algerian soldier, a French soldier, and a decidedly martial-looking camel, designed by R. Thiriet, engraved by Charles-Paul Dufresne, and issued for use in colonial Algeria on November 30, 1952 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Sahara Corps, Scott No. 249.

Israel's 1950 Negev stamp. Its design is based on Reuven Rubin's painting depicting camels.

jamesw - Yes, and ever so fashionable in the Maghreb.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting another desert innovation, the mobile home: Somali, camel and gurgi (a hut made of camel-mats supported by poles which can be pitched or struck in about an hour), designed and engraved by Bradbury Wilkinson & Co, and issued for use in Somaliland Protectorate on September 15, 1953, Scott No. 128, SG No. 137.

Spanish Sahara postally used.
I know this is not about tracking your camel by GPS or cel phone as it is too early for that to be invented yet, so what is it?
