tantsbsac - Good topic idea! My first contribution:

Here is an image of a stamp depicting an African weaver, designed by Belgian artist Emile Vloors (1871-1952), engraved and printed by American Bank Note Company, and issued for use in Belgian Congo, 1923-1926, Scott No. 92.

Here are images of the three stamps in a textiles set designed by Laotian artists, engraved by French engravers, and issued by Laos on July 7, 1970 to publicize the Laotian silk industry and the EXPO '70 International Exposition held in Osaka, Japan, March 15 - September 13, 1970, Scott Nos. 201, 202 & C69.

If you know someone who works with cloth, you might consider:

1) Pass these scans to a photo printing site (CVS Photo 29c, for example);

2a) Mount the photo on a suitable backing (cut up shoe boxes work well) & mail that postcard;

2b) Depending on the number of prints, put them in a small photo album.

Makes a nice gift.

The Great Kabylie is a mountainous Berber ethnic region in northern Algeria. Here is an image of an engraved stamp depicting a traditional Kabylie weaver at work on a loom, designed by Algerian artist Ali Ali-Khodja (1923-2010), and issued by Algeria on February 26, 1966, Scott No. 349.
