Never realized they charged 13.25% - that is for coins and numerous other sales items, assume that is for stamp related items as well. Wow.

You have to love the feelgood language don't you?

They want you to feel just great about getting less in your pocket.

Now I haven't sold on eBay for many a long year, but the way things are going it looks like I won't be buying either.

13.6% is not a lot to ask for finding a customer for you.

Auction houses charge a whole lot more than that.

They also get more money for your items. Of course, they are not going to lot-up junk or low catalog value items either. I don't think we are talking apples and apples.

For store holders (larger ones, anyway), stamps go from 9.35 to 9.7 percent. It's not earth shattering.
(hipstamp is, incidentally, 8.95% for the basic and up plans, and 11.95% for the starter).

I'm happy to pay a little bit more to get a large multiple of the audience.

And from the fee schedule, eBay reduces its fees for items that sell for larger amounts:

My thoughts as well. This really isn't a big deal - certainly not compared to the shipping changes rolling out in the UK and doubtless elsewhere after.

What shipping changes? UK ebay's "buyer's protection" will incentivise use of tracking to ensure early payment, but it's not mandatory.
