While going through some precancels I came across 4 that also have perfins. I have searched for & found nothing referencing this condition. I assume this is not out of the ordinary but only ask if it is unusual enough to be considered a separate item or just another precancel or perfin whichever I choose to call it.

Precancels and perfins serve two completely different purposes. In general, precancels are postal, while perfins are non-postal.
As you have found, they can co-exist on the same stamp and are not particularly unusual.
How you choose to mount or file them depends on the emphasis of your collection, by stamp, by precancel, by perfin, etc
By coincidence I am working on a group of precancels tonight. The primary sort is by precancel town & type, then the perfin if any..

Than you. I'm assuming the combination has no significance to the value.
I am familiar with the use of both & for years have just put them both aside & ignored them. Just now getting around to sorting them & found these & was surprised that sometime in my 70 years of collecting I had never seen conversations about it. Although it isn't an area that I paid too much attention to other than they were different & I never discard any stamp in good condition especially different. Guess I'll have to get another catalog. #128534;.

Look online and you can find the US Preper catalog. In very rare circumstances a common precancel and a common perfin combine to make a scarce item.
