Has anybody seen similar Type Of Westervelt's Post Scott #144L9-Lyons Type II Indian Head 1st Issue Position 1, 2d Issue Position 2 with Add'l Reverse Impressions?

Hello ! I'm sorry, I have never seen these stamps, but the s of the stamp on the left looks like a 8, maybe an error ?

Looks like a sheet that had not dried fully was laid face down and not directly upon another sheet that was face up. Lazy fakers?

Rogdcam. That makes sense I was trying to figure out how this could happen. The interesting thing is that the stamps represent 2 different printings I believe. The stamp on the left with PO8T was position 1 of the first issue. The stamp on the right is I believe position 2 of the second issue. Thanks for your comment makes a lot of sense and as you said lazy fakers lol.

Normally I would call these printer's waste, but glad that rogdcam figiured out how they came about. I have seen hundreds of the Westervelts Indian Head over the years and these are the only two I have noticed with this printing defect. I think it was just sloppy housekeeping. I would be curious if anybody else has noted this defect as these examples are from 2 different printings with six types identified in each of these printings.
