I'm considering obtaining a stamp organizing software, particularly interested in a program that supplies images and Scott #'s. (Canada, to at least start)

Once I buy the software am I able to update the database for future stamp issues, in particular the newer Scott #'s?.

I can't seem to find any information on whether updates are included, or will I need to re-buy the program each year for the new issues, etc.

Just looking for recommendations on something that meets this criteria. Nothing I've looked at says one way or the other

Thanks
Chris

You are not very clear at what stamp data base you are referring to

Indeed you are correct Peter.

My first edit of my original post included a specific program I had researched. However, after submitting that post it was flagged for using said program name. I re-read the forum rules, but didn't see any mention of this prohibition. I did not want to risk a ban so have left my post open ended, hoping for a recommendation based on the criteria I mentioned

Sorry for the vagueness.

If the program is Stamp Manage, there are multiple threads in this forum that discuss such a program and whether manipulations of the underlying database are advised. Not quite sure if this is the one or not.

Thank you Partime

I also looked at Stamp Manage, but that wasn't what I referred to in my original post. I can't say the name of the program, even in this reply the forum is still flagging it and won't let me proceed. It rhymes with breezy stamp lol. There was a warning about attempting to circumvent the measures to prevent it's use. Hopefully I will suffer no consequences in attempting to answer you.

No. However you can buy the year updates.

I assume the following is still true as I have not seen anything different over the last number of years.
If you decide to change programs in the future, it is slightly difficult. The program is proprietary so you can't just grab your data and move it. You will need to contact the owner of the program and get him to release your data in a format that you can use. Others have done it so that is not an issue but just an extra step in the process.
Stamp Manage does not have that issue.

I own and use the first program.
