Hello stamp community

I found this 8o stamp in my grandfather's collection, the perfs measure 12 3/4, checking the watermark I am not sure if it is a 112 or 113 watermark. Any suggestions?
Left 4o with wm 112
Right 8o wm ???

Galeoptix, long ago advised to scan them against a black background. In many cases, this works much better with used stamps than backlighting them.

Thanks NSK

The scanning technique unfortunately did not work very well for this stamp, also under watermark fluid the mark is very feint, back light appears to be the best method I can see.

I managed to get a photo and enhanced the contrast on the image to see if I can get the watermark to stand out better :

Hi all

so I built a tool to allow me to take 2 pictures of 2 different stamps and manipulate them buy zooming or making 1 of them transparent and I can move them around or over eachother....
I took a photo of a king Christian stamp that most definitely is a watermark 113.
Photos of both stamps in the tool are same size and same angle :

When I overlay them over eachother they appear to be an exact math, the lobes follow the exact same paths and the cross line up perfectly and the ovals.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.....Watermark 112 or 113?

Stanley Gibbons says, "The stamps which exist in both types of watermark are recorded in footnotes but not listed separately as they are difficult to distinguish."

But FACIT lists the 1902 watermark on this particular stamp as literally a thousand times more expensive than the 1895 version: US $360 against US 36¢.

Sadly, I think you'd need an expert's certificate to be sure, and I don't know how much you'd have to pay for one of those.
