widglo46, That's a beautiful #7 pair! I love multiples of the imperforate issues. I hope you enjoy having that pair in your collection for many years.

Classic...I know you have sold many of your 3c issues over the years and I was wondering if you are specializing in a particular area of the 3c, trying to complete the plating, etc. You have been a big help to me over the years and I am glad you started this thread.

Moved this from another discussion about 1851s as there are some very fine stamps on cover, scarce shades, early uses, etc:

(The following was approved by Don D and any sales resulting from this message will generate a 10% donation of my consignment fees to SCF)

Jim Allen is a long-time client and I'll send him a link to this thread. During the past two years he has consigned to me 300+ covers, mainly 1851s & 1857s, from his collections and exhibits. The ones currently available are scanned and uploaded to a GoogleDrive folder here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/fold...?usp=sharing

All are net-priced and subject unsold. Airmail and insurance from the UK is free for $250+, otherwise $5. Payment by American Express, Mastercard or Visa (or personal check for APS members)

tgswanner, It's good to hear from you. I appreciate your kind comments.

I've been working on plating Hawaii's 1894-99 2-cent stamp (#75) for a couple of years, and am winding down that project.

Recently I've gotten back to working on my 3-cent imperforates, focusing mostly on color classification, but also plating to a lesser extent. I bought some large 3-cent lots a few years ago that sat partly worked for years. I've never had any ambitions to reconstruct a plate, as I find other 3-cent projects more to my liking.

I've been learning to fine-tune my scanner settings to get truer colors, and my original post is an example. I'll post a new 3-cent color set image when I get it annotated.

What have you been working on?

banknoteguy, The wide margins and face-free cancels on your #7 and #9 give them great eye appeal.

stallzer, The first stamp you posted (#10A) is from plate position 9R2e. Is anything written on the back?

Now you went and made me dig out my old stamp album. Found these in there:

note on the page says 26L1L

note on the page says Type III

I guess I could soak these off if I wanted more stamps in my album:

Here is my #14. I love sheet margin stamps on all of the imperforates.

widglo46, your #14 is quite a gem! I love the sheet margin and the guide dots.

Here are two of my biggest sheet margins; 93R5L (19 mm margin), and 3L8 (16.5 mm):
