I'll sneak in her Southern cousin "Aurora Australis" = Southern Lights
(also name of the Australian Ice Breaker)
Aurora = Roman Goddess of the dawn.

Did you know?

Aurora Borealis on Postage stamps, is one of the most ubiquitous themes in all philately?

20 million stamps, I have seen recorded. (In possibly 15+ countries)

Borealis = Northern.

A beautiful photograph on the charity stamp of 2009, Germany. "Himmelserscheinugen" = phenomena seen in the sky/heavens. (Seeing them as far south as Germany is extremely rare.)
