Almost 39 years ago, ordered a kiloware world collection of stamps from UK and some rather weird sheets came in with hundreds of loose stamps. Not sure who collects these and what they are worth. This will probably appeal to thematic collectors...
It's actually Carn Iar. It's a local (at best), from the same folks who put out the Summer Isles stamps in Scotland. The set of 6 birds is apparently still available directly from them! Derive your own conclusions from this. Retail per set is something around 4 pounds (the usual crowd will point out the eBay store that offers them at 1.50 pounds -- the seller wants 2.25 pounds shipping). I've seen these around rarely but never on cover or even FDC. Anyone got one?
The Lundy stamp is also a local, and this is the lowest value of a larger set. Minimal value per stamp here. Lundy Island was another very prolific issuer of local stamps. http://www.silverdalen.se/stamps/lu...undy_cat.htm
