New members (and many long-time users) are often unsure how to pick the correct forum for a new post -- especially when asking for "Help with an IDENTIFICATION"

First, and most importantly, as your moderators, we want you to post your questions, image scans, and information. Sometime we move stamps to a different forum area where, we believe, you will have better odds of getting the answer you desire. If you see a post in the wrong forum, use the "Send Note to Staff" link to let us know. If you have a post that gets moved, remember it's not a criticism but rather an attempt to help.

Remember these guidelines:

The MAIN forum is NOT the appropriate place for Stamp Identification threads.

Use these areas:
Australia: any stamp or cover from Australia, regardless of the year.
http://goscf.com/f/54

Canada: any stamp or cover from Canada, regardless of the year.
http://goscf.com/f/40

United States: USA stamps are further divided into 6 sub-forums.
http://goscf.com/c/4

Worldwide: another 5 sub-forums for any stamp/cover not in the above 3.
http://goscf.com/c/5

Key Terms to help you pick the best USA or WORLD sub-forum are:
Classic refers to the first century of collecting, 1840 to 1940
Modern means anything after 1940
Back of Book includes Airmail, Revenues, Official stamps, Tax stamps, etc.

Please TRY to get your posts in the correct place.
But again, the most important step is to post your questions and images.
