Added these (and others) today to my U.S. collection. Will be placing in mounts as soon as I get my new pages printed.

This past weekend I attended the Royal 2024 stamp show in Fredericton New Brunswick. Our club was the organizers of this show. It was an wonderful experience as I made many new philatelic freinds.

Created and printed a short set Steiner based page to cover the U.S. 1847 and 1851-57 imperforate stamps that are my goal. I'm planning on upgrading #11 and #11A in the future, but this is where I will be for a while.

I have been looking for information on the airmail overprints for use on the post carried from the Canary Isles by Lufthansa's flight 172 from Chile between 31 October 1936 and April 1938. A few weeks ago, a Madrid auction house listed a lot of literature. The picture with the lot showed a "CATALOGO DE SELLOS DE CANARIAS." Having caught my attention, I searched for this catalogue.

A stamp dealer from Barcelona offered this book, adding it was by E. Aurioles and published in 1968. Since the description read 'CATALOGO DE LOS SELOS PARA EL CORREO AEREO EMITIDAS EN LAS ISLAS CANARIAS (1936 a 1938),' I ordered his only example.

I received and paid the invoice. Then, I received an email that the inventory system showed the book as 'in stock' but that he did not have it. He advised me to wait for further information before paying the invoice. Since I, already, had paid it, we agreed I would wait a few weeks so he could see if he could find a copy of the book.

Yesterday, I received an email from the dealer informing me he had found a copy and will be dispatching it within a few days. I also ordered Félix Gómez-Guillamón's "EL CORREO AÉREO EN LA GUERRA CIVIL ESPAÑOLA (zona nacional 1936 - 1939).' So, hopefully, I, soon, can learn more about these stamps.

I just cut down a 1978 U.S. National set of pages to be 8.5 x 11. The pages pretty much all had one or both square post holes damaged or completely gone. Most of the pages were dirty from having them flipped so many times with dirty fingers. Many pages had stains on the extreme edges. Now I can use these as the copy master to print off a new page using new (and heavier) paper. I tried to get the frames as centered as possible, but many of the pages were not consistent with each other.

I worked on assimilating collections of Provinces of China and Occupation of China. Interesting history and stamp varieties with lots of overprinting to classify.

Started moving my Denmark collection and accumulation in to a nice 3 ring binder . I expect this to take awhile but this exercise always reinvigorates my interest in the hobby. Going on 60 years now collecting.

No, floortrader, you can read 3 free stories per month.
Also, any story has the option of a free link ("friend link"), which I could provide anytime.
Even if a paying member of Medium ($50/year) reads a 2-min story of mine, that would enrich me with about 1 red cent.
