I have a large collection of postcards that have 'stamps' as a topic. Here is one that I think fits nicely into this thread with 2 'bee/honey' stamps from CCCP 1989 and Polska. Titled 'Labeille Apicula' it is from a set by Louise Deletang. set  |

Probably would not help, as the language on the sheet is Portuguese. Guinea-Bissau was formerly a Portuguese colony, known as Portuguese Guinea. The wording roughly means Small Beetle. They issued a set of Bee stamps in 2009. |

To the Bee Beetle - on the stamp - with the bee hive
The beetle itself, does no damage to the hive, it is the larvae of the beetle that do the damage, the larvae will tunnel through wax eating honey pollen brood and making a huge mess and causing the colony to die or abscond. <removed typo> |
