Some more Sweden! Lansjarv is now a hamlet in Sweden's Norrbotten County. It had population as early as the 17th Century but, according to a Swedish Wikipedia article, by 2015 its population had dwindled to less than 50 and so it was dissolved as a discrete municipality.

Speaking of small places...how about Nemet-Bencsek? Postmarked here in the Austro-Hungarian Empire but now the village of Bencecu de Sus in Timis county in western Romania. It's been getting smaller. Its population was listed at 844 in 2011, about half the number who lived there in the 19th Century.

I'm not sure if this clean enough to be considered SOTN?

Longdon, Worcestershire

Longdon is a village and civil parish in the Malvern Hills District and council ward of Worcestershire, England and is about 5 km (3 miles) south of Upton-on-Severn. It shares administration with two parishes Queenhill and Holdfast (From wiki)

Justfella, I think this is one of the London Western Central office squared circle postmarks. They just wouldn't identify villages using an abbreviation of a county name like "W.C.". There looks to be room for a "NG" in the empty space but the letters are large enough that there is only room for an "N".

Not every SON cancel needs to be in a circle! Zeist is a city of about 64,000 population near Utrecht in Netherlands. The town dates back to the 9th Century AD.
