This is one of my favorites. 4c from 1862 (Scott 56) A near complete pane of 100 (92 actually), reassembled from 8 vertical blocks of 10 and 2 blocks of 6. These were printed in larger sheets of 200, then separated into 2 panes of 100 (An A and B pane) for sale at the post office. This is the B pane. These were all purchased as a single lot. Didn't realize they were a cut apart sheet until I got them and noticed how they could be put back together Would be awesome to stumble across the 2 missing blocks of 4. |

Captain Stamps - I'm assuming you are asking where did I GET all the blocks?
Most of these were bought on ebay, probably over the last 20-25 years. I haven't bought many of them recently because I stopped specializing in Spain. The blocks use to make the sheet came from a seller from one of the many stamp message boards that have been around for a while. I have dozens of others, as well, but they would start to get repetitive as they are mostly blocks of 4 for the same issues. |
