I had to open a "have not received item" case with their eBay store. Previously ordered from them last summer without problems. Cannot get them to respond through eBay or website..... over a month of radio silence. They have a good reputation, so I fear the worst. I hope they are okay. Thank you.

I did a Google search to see if anyone else had any recent experiences with Swan because I am in exactly the same situation. First time buyer from them. I sent an email first to the addresses in their order form and on their website and got no response after a couple of days so I just went ahead and ordered the lot on EBay. Probably shouldn't have in retrospect because I have not received mine, either. What's more concerning is that someone with access to the account is still active there because EBay updated the status of the order to "Shipped" with an estimated delivery date (which has now passed with no item arriving). Their feedback shows a negative left who also did not receive their items. It is concerning.

There is a phone number listed for the company. Anyone try calling it?

Yep, right before starting my search for recent experiences and ending up here. Unanswered, and went to a full voicemail box so no message could be left that way, either.

Sorry, I just saw this post today. Check your eBay order details ASAP. You only have 30 days from the last date in the estimated delivery window to put in a claim for an item not received. If you're beyond that, do NOT file a claim online, as it is likely to be autorejected or autoclosed. Instead, get on the phone with eBay and walk them through the situation.

This is also why it is critically important to have contacted the seller through eBay Messages prior to the window expiration, so that eBay CSRs can see that you made a good faith effort to communicate.

Sometimes they will set aside the strict limits and grant you a courtesy refund.

A pointed out on other threads, most recently as last week, people die unexpectedly or are otherwise abruptly incapacitated. This can cause difficulty with one person operations. In the case of http://goscf.com/t/88830 his eBay store continues to cycle. These things happen.

That said, follow revenuecollector's suggestion above.

Are you able to leave feedback to give others a heads-up?

Yes, I also added a follow up on my feedback stating they might be deceased and recommend to contact before buying.
I think they are a husband and wife team, wife works the eBay stuff and husband runs website from what I can gather. I hope some good news pops up soon.

What facts would possibly lead you to believe this is indeed the problem? Enough to post this comment on feedback, I mean.

I am genuinely puzzled by this response and am trying to understand it.

John

I haven't sold anything for many, many years, but as a seller is there a setting that automatically changes the status of an order to shipped after a set amount of time? Someone set mine to that one day after purchasing it on Jan. 26. It says "Shipped (Untracked)". If that doesn't happen automatically then someone is still accessing the account but ignoring messages from buyers through the EBay system as well as everywhere else it seems.

Neither Larry nor Diane seem to have an obituary appearing online. (Admittedly, not determinative.)

I think the reports of their demise might be exaggerated?

I was wandering how we went from bad service or in the extreme, scamming, to deceased. Oh, my sides hurt from laughing. Maybe they sold the account to TDA .

Solid eBay seller for 14 years with 5 stars in all categories, new listings stopped in late November 2024, no feed back left for buyers in many weeks except for one left for a buyer on 2-6-2025***, full telephone mailbox, and both Larry and Diane are over 80 years old. Unless they are on the world cruise they kept putting off without setting their account to "vacation", something catastrophic seems at play.

***Sellers can set up auto-feedback thus the date of feedback is not indicative of human activity on the account.

So rogdcam, what's you insight here?

Maybe they went to the dark side OR maybe someone else bought the account OR maybe someone else is operating the site. Death of course is an option although I don't know them personally. If one died the other should have shut the account down OR if they both were in the garage with the ICE running and no ventilation, then maybe there is no nefarious activity taking place.

Seriously though, within the past 8 days feedback has been left that states:

"FOUR WEEKS, was told twice it would be shipped. Got a full refund from eBay. BUYERS BEWARE"

That tells me that while during the time period when the seller was NOT shipping, they were answering the mail.

Someone set the status of my January 26th order to shipped, but has ignored every email and EBay message I've sent, and their phone. Seems like an oddly specific thing to do while ignoring the rest regardless of what's happening.
