Hello everyone. I have had a vast stamp collection under my bed for the last 20 years inherited from my great great grandfather. It has hundreds of stamps in individual sleeves dating back into the 1800s as well as some stamp books filled out. So far I have only identified one potential valuable stamp, a 1875 6 yo stamp, but I'm not sure if it is truly valuable. If someone could take a look and let me know as well as give me some advice on how to sort through all the others that would be amazing, thank you.

Hello !
For the Stamp from Japan, I don't think it's really valuable but I'm not sure, I'll do more research tomorrow. For the other stamps, I don't think too but I'm maybe not right.

I would really like to see pictures of the other stamps, that would be pretty interesting.

Thank you for the help! I know I would like to get some more pictures of them, but there are thousands so it's hard to know which ones are worth investigating. They are all organized by country and most are dated with a card already. There are stamps from practically every country. Are there any countries with rarer stamps to look through first? Thanks

Your approvals from Spruceland Stamp and Coin in Springfield, MA bring back memories for me having visited that shop in my youth. Spruceland was owned by Henry Evanson who purchased the Tatham Stamp and Coin Company (TASCO) of Springfield MA in the late 1950's from the estate of MacIntosh and owned the business with a partner for several years. He then owned Spruceland up until his death in 1999. Evanson and TASCO both have rich histories in both stamp and coin collecting. TASCO is probably best known for it's "educational" booklets, in particular confederate stamp reprints and Evanson similarly re-struck early colonial coins which can be highly sought after.

Wow that's pretty interesting to hear rogdcam. I actually have a couple of those confederate stamp reprint books you're talking about… must be from that shop

Yeah I think that you should show us the pre 1900s stamps. But even more recents stamps can have a high value, but it's kinda rare, I think.

Here are some of the older ones I have found. I've only gone through about 50 of the 1000 plus stamps so I'll continue to sort out the older ones. Anyone please let me know what you think of these…
