He mailed out a hardcopy catalog, that just arrived the other day, as well.
This is a rare opportunity for someone to get started with or add to a 3c color study. One can't always reasonably trust many 3c color charts, but this material clearly represents some of the best of the best regarding colors.
Lot 20, will be entertaining to watch.

The James Allen Color Study by Year of the 3¢ 1851-57 Imperf Issue, mounted and well-annotated study collection of 224 stamps comprising Nos. 10/10A (36), Nos. 11/11A (188), all identified for color and organized by major years of issue and use, many plated, note nine Experimental Orange Brown, three 1852 orange brown, two 1856 Pinkish in medium and deeper, and two of the rare 1857 Plum shade (pale to deeper), this study was approved by Amonette over a three-year period when it was developed and assembled including all the rarer colors. the quality of stamps in the Allen chart is far above the usual, selected for overall quality with emphasis on color representation. Most all are four-margins or better, several jumbos, seven marginal copies, some truly outstanding shades, lighter cancels are the rule, especially in key inking locations, plus several unused, worth careful examination, the intangible value of this six-page color study created by Allen and approved by Amonette should not be underestimated, Very Fine.
