There are many threads in this forum about animals but they are all about a specific animal or group of animals (Horse, elephant, frogs, small mammals, animals with horns etc.). So, I thought I would start this thread for collectors who want to show their complete set of animals or to show animals that don't match any of the threads.

Let's start with a set of 12 stamps of African wild animals, issued by Mauritania on July 6, 1963:

Wildlife of Kagera National Park, a set of 10 stamps designed by Jean Van Noten and issued by Rwanda on April 28, 1965. I like this set since I am a fan of Van Noten and his great designs:

Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) and African Darter (Anhinga rufa):

Lion (Panthera leo):

A stamp issued by Belgium in 1992 commemorates the Belgian artist and designer Jean Van Noten on a maxicard with his photo served as a model for the stamp. The commemorative postmark shows the same design based on Van Noten photo:

Wild Animals, a set of 10 stamps designed and engraved by Jacques Combet and issued by Ivory Coast in three parts during 1963-1964. The designs of several of the stamps are based on older designs made by the French zoologists Pierre Louis Dekeyser (1914–1984) and Pierre Dandelot (1910-2007):
