During Vietnam War, North Vietnam issued a series of stamps marking the number of American air planes shut down by the Vietnamese army and the Vietcong forces. I already posted in page 5 of this thread the stamps mark the 2000 and 3000 airplanes shut down and member gmot posted the 1500. I will show the stamps again to put all stamps of this series in order. Here is the stamp marks the 500 US airplanes shut down issued August 30, 1965: |

The great victories of the National Liberation Front (Vietcong, NLF) during 1966-7 offensives, issued by North Vietnam on March 5, 1968. The set contains 8 stamps with inscriptions give facts about the US army losses. Here are the first four of them. I tried to give close translation to the inscription on the stamps, using Michel online catalogues and ChatGPT: "340 enemy artillery pieces were destroyed" "175,000 enemy forces, including 85,000 in Yen My and Chu Hau, were annihilated" "The Southern forces (Vietcong) smashed the plan of the U.S. and the puppet regime.": "Mass urban movements in the South struggle against the U.S., Thieu, and Ky (Thieu and Ky are South Vietnamese leaders): Issued in se-tenant: |

North Vietnam issued on November 22, 1965 a single stamp to commemorate Norman Morrison. Morrison was a 31 year old American Quaker activist who burnt himself to death on November 2, 1965 in front of the Pentagon to protest American involvement in the Vietnam War. |

Con Co, known as Tiger Island, is a rural district of Quang Tri province in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam. Due to its proximity to the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, during the Vietnam War, Con Co was used as a base for North Vietnamese military forces. On 14 March 1965 the island was attacked by South Vietnam Air Force A-1 Skyraiders. Heroes of Con Co, issued by North Vietnam on June 1, 1966: |
