Well, here is a first, at least to me, perhaps D_J_D , can shed some light..This is the first Stamp on stamp, that I have ever seen
that depicts the same stamp !

It's a first or me also Bob, but then I don't look at as much worldwide material as most of you do. Neat!

It reminds me of one of those TV shots of a guy watching a TV picture of himself. It goes on to infinity.

I Have Over Four Hundred Copies Of "Stamps On Stamps".
That Is The Only One To Show The Actual Stamps Within The Stamp.

Triggersmob - I'm so after that Nepal stamp now . Is the Stanley Gibbons reference 1981 Nepal 416-181 40p. Multicoloured?

I do not collect from this country but the sheet just really caught my eye. They actually have quite a few stamps on stamps in their issues.

I collect United Nations -- sometimes it seems they don't get the "respect" that other stamps get. Nevertheless, I enjoy collecting them. The topics are interesting, I learn from them, and as a general rule, they're reasonably priced collectibles.

Anyhoo... here's a nice pair of Stamps on Stamps.

U.N. Vienna #62-3 in the Scott Catalogue.

Or the opening credits to some older Doctor Who Tv Shows , I used to point the camcorder at the TV set which it was hooked up to and got the same infinite effect.
