Juliusz Fortunat Kossak (1824 – 1899), a Polish historical painter and master illustrator who specialized in battle scenes, military portraits and horses as depicted on the following set issued by Poland on July 4, 1997:

- Return from the war to the village
- Krakow wedding
- Feeding Horses in the Stable (Cossack horses)
- Stable man with a pair of horses
