Here is an image of a stamp depicting a common but colorful butterfly, the European Peacock (Inachis io), designed by stamp artist Hannes Margreiter, engraved by Martin Mörck (plus some photogravure), and issued by Austria on July 15, 2005, Scott No. 2018.

Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus), airmail stamp designed and engraved by Jacques Combet, and issued for use in New Caledonia on March 26, 1968, Scott No. C51.

Giant African Swallowtail (Papilio antimachus), semi-postal stamp designed by R.L. Prieto and J.L. Garcia Ruiz de Medina, printed by photogravure, and issued for us in Spanish Guinea on November 23, 1953 for Colonial Stamp Day, Scott No. B28, SG No. 344.

These Ajman Stamps (stamped Manama) came to me in a bulk box

Ajman. One of the Trucial States which became the United Arab Emirates in 1972, Ajman was one of the most notorious sources of stamps that had dubious postal connections. I believe all issues during the 1967–72 period must be regarded as non-postal.
