1 Shelling..I like it :)

Butterfly, Australia has 3 or 4 stamps
that came as labels on wine bottles,
albeit,I cannot recall much at this stage.
I need to purchase some more memory.

Any one ever see these before, know anything about them????????

These are lovely and they look in such good condition. Might I ask where you acquired them ?

They were issued by the Verdun Tourist Information Office, circa 1920-25.
They were printed by the Paris Photo agencies Levy and Sons, and Neurdein Reunis, who were both makers of fine Postcards. They worked together from 1920-1932.

It would not surprise me to find a postcard or two of the same design and colour.
Your label booklet is divine, look after it.

Verdun was the scene of the bloodiest battle of WW1.

This one is BY FAR my favorite. It was designed by a friend of mine (and yours) in Canada ~ Skilo45 They was made for a charity to help the flood victims in Australia- I believe and their is only literally a handful (4 or 5) in the N.American Continent. I guess Skilo45 can tell you all the straight facts on it himself and hopefully he will chime in soon! ;P

These are just oddities I found lying around in my great grandmothers house about a decade ago.

I believe my uncle used the trout one as a fake Trout fishing permit on his fishing license! LOL That was a very long time ago though.

haha thanks I guess! My old Toshiba Satellite P-205. I run firefox on it and it is my workhorse for certain! I just needed some space quick to snap a few pics. I just took those a few moments before I posted it.

Here is a Cinderella from my collecting interest of Italian motorcycles... it is Vespa celebrating their one millionth scooter made.

I am pleased to have two used on postally used covers from the period, but not one that was tied to the cover with a cancel yet..

I have more poster stamps from Italian motorcycle exhibitions in my collection. They might not be stamps as such but they add some nice colour and variation to a collection I think

Thank you MH :)

Actually, you may say that I'm a Philatelic Labels maniac!

Most of those labels are more sophisticated and beautiful than "Official" postage stamps.

The engraving in some of them are simply BEAUTY by all means!

Cheers
