In some countries a little piggy will bring you luck in the New Year. Having a pig has been considered good fortune since ancient times, so here are a few cute little piggies to bring all of you good luck in the New Year 2016!
National Pig Day is an event held annually on March 1 in the USA to celebrate the pig. Here is an image of a stamp depicting a Eurasian wild boar (Sus scrofa), printed by lithography (Güzel Sanatlar Matbaasi A.S.), and issued by Turkey on April 23, 1967, Scott No. 1738, plus a YouTube link to a short video featuring a herd of wild boars in Turkey.
