Jason when I send out packets of 100 large stamps they weigh close to an ounce..so that would be 1600 if they are large stamps and probably 2000 to the pound if they are mixed large and small..of course this is approximate....if the stamps are still on paper its a whole different scenario..... |

I bought an advertised 10,000 stamps off paper that only weighs 2 3/4 pounds. When I get the time I am going to count them to see if I received what I paid for. Let us know how your purchase turns out.

Both of you guys are going to be surprised at just how many stamps you're gonna get, and how long it will take you to deal with them. Have a ball! |

Charles, you should get about 300 per ounce off paper, not counting any packaging, in mixed-sized stamps. Assuming your 2-3/4 pounds does not count packaging, that would be 44 ounces or about 13,200 stamps. If they are big CTO's with gum or big mint dunes or something like that it would be less. If 2-3/4 pounds includes the packaging, it will be less. |

Yes, there does appear to be lots of CTO's and big, colorful stamps. It also includes the packaging as I don't have time to go through them and don't want loose stamps all over the place...I own cats and they also love stamps!

Buying big lots is a bit like a treasure hunt or playing the Lottery. If the cost (including shipping and handling) isn't too high, there can be weeks and weeks of fun to be had. And, you never can tell when you might find a rare gem! |

It's too bad Harris no longer has their "Big Bag of Worldwide Stamps"; I probably went through five or six of those little cloth bags... |
