I'm a twenty-something topical collector, and really interested in applying stamp collecting to geography education. I always loved how each country chose the art for its stamps as a representation.
I collected postcards through Postcrossing through college, and am now getting back to a "lower volume" hobby. My apartment walls are covered with my treasures and my box is too big. I loved the stamps but I could never bear to take them off the cards.
I love stamps with these themes: cartography, geology, dinosaurs/fossils, Soviet propaganda, weather/meteorology, music/composers, oceanography, dams/hydrology, Alfonse Mucha art, triangle stamps, and important women. Many topics, I know!
Glad to be here, it's been fun browsing the forums. I hope to learn a lot!
