Am getting a lot of threads with the images no longer in place. It stops the thread having any relevance or makes no sense so I am leaving them where they are.

Any issue with that?

If I deem them completely useless without the images I've been deleting them. Just put delete in the note and I'll delete it, I certainly trust your judgement.

I am not interested in Australian stamps. But, there maybe postings about the stamps from Oz or relating to Oz that would interest me. IOW, as a stamp collector, my interests lie elsewhere (no offense, the world is a big place), but there are or can be topics and comments related to Australian stamps that transcend the specialty which might interest me, but that I'll miss these going forward.

The answer is the Active Topics page. It will show all active topics, separated by forum and category since your last visit or the last time you hit the All Reset button in the top left of the topic table.

Here's what I do and it works great. Go to the active topics table and scan the topics holding down the control key. Click on any topic titles that interest you and they will open in a new tab/window on most operating systems. Then start reading them and close each tab/window when you're done. When you get back to the Active Topics page, hit the AR button. If there was any new activity while you were reading/posting in the other tabs/windows they will know show when the page refreshing.

Well, for example, right now I see in the Canadian forum recent topics on "Scott 468", "Scott 815 and 816","Canada Cameo Booklet Pane Stamp FDC's (401a, 404a, 405a)" and "scott 463".

I have no idea what these are about. But, since you're talking to yourselves, that is ok, since you understand what you're talking about. But, to me, a non-Canada collector, you've "trained" me to ignore your section. There is no reason for me to open these topics up and I have only so much time to spend here. Maybe you haven't been trained this way, but I have been trained to ignore you. Maybe that is ok, maybe not.

Therein lies my concern and that I am doubtless missing good generic information that I could use in my own area of interest, but that I'll miss it because you're talking to each other and not me. Hence the Scott number lingo. Which by the way, is a major problem in the other SCF, which is mostly made of US collectors.

I realize I am in the minority and what is done is done. And, I truly mean no offense. But I am concerned that the the price of more efficient conversation amongst yourselves, you may lose the potential new collector of your area.

I never actually look at fora. As Bobby suggests, I simply skim the "active topics" list, and am continually enlightened as a result.

Thank You Bobby and others behind the scene.

The outcome is very special.

After all the things that have happened to me over the last couple of months this thread has turned into an amazing sight.

Always Happy Stamping or Coin Collecting. KGV

I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. I'm still pretty new to the stamp forum and having trouble finding my way around. How do I find my posts so I can see any answers or reply's to them?
