Some thoughts on the scarce 20th century items from the sale:
there wre 5 of 9 rare stock transfers so lets look at them;
RD 139 5.5K same as when it sold in Cunliffe
RD 185C 32.5K for PI an uncut example when for 25K in Buford
RD 208A 19.0K a different PI example was 20K in Buford
RD 232 13.0 K owner paid 10K in Harmer sale
RD 234 19.0 K came from Ballman sale 9.0 K

Wines
RE 114 10.0 K was 15.0 K in Buford

Silver Tax
RG 78 7.0 K was 10.0 K in Buford

Many of the provisional narcotics and silver tax stamps are very scarce as ell, and they generally did well too.

The provisional narcotic tax are a bit harder to track then the silver tax stamps. But I went and looked at the RG 32 80c provisional silver tax stamp. The last time this copy sold was back in 1991 in the Joyce sale for $1900 when it catlogued $1000. and the tip - I buyers commission was only 10%, not the current 18%.

They are harder to track because there are very few genuine examples.
