I had forgotten how crazy this makes me - what on earth is a 1c Potato stamp from 1918?

I see a 1913 or 1914 1c Panama or a 1920 1c Pilgrim. Not much else.
Thanks.

Here is a 1-1/2 cent potato tax stamp from 1935 (Scott #RI2). I've always thought this is a beautiful stamp.

Thanks CC. I had not heard of those -- will I find them in Scott? I am on the road with only a small catalog right now.

Jan,

The above stamp is listed as Scott #RI2 in the revenues section of the Scott US Specialized catalog. I don't know what small catalog you have, but you're unlikely find it in there.

2005 Pocket Scott. I have the big one at home but too heavy for this trip. Thanks again.

Jan,

Is the 1918 1c potato stamp you mentioned from the US? The 1918 date has me wondering. Can you describe it or show an image?

I suspect Bruce guessed the year and got it wrong. If it was a potato stamp - Classic's picture is correct.
