Australia Scott Perf ?

I was making my files correct, since I now have a Perf gauge. I am using a Scott 2009 catalog vol #1 to check my Australia stamps, of course the first stamp I came to was now in question. The Perf for this stamp according to Scott is 14 x 14 1/2, but using the gauge it is 11 1/2 x 11 1/2. Has anybody have any input?

My 2003 Scotts has the self adhesive stamps of that set at 11.5, 11.25, serpentine die cut, which is what that looks like. The 11.5 perf would have been from booklet stamps.

these are best described as "diecut" perfs.
Generally there shall be two diecut formes
and if you begin to collect Australia, you soon will
become conversant with each, they are very easily recognised

I thought I was going nuts or it might be a typo in the Scott's catalog.
Where will I find this stamp in the Scott's catalog, and is it the same number?

That is great info, I can see my stamp has the middle perf cut.
Boy there is a lot to stamp collecting. I am so glad for the help and to know the wealth of knowledge is so overwhelming out there I can only hope to be at that stage.

No problem, Still these stamps sometime have such little differences I never would have had it right. Buying the perf gauge was an eye opener for sure. Well worth the money spent. Now to go and fix any errors, now that I can use another tool in identifying my stamps. I do like learning new things and this is only the tip of the iceberg of stamp knowledge for me.

I like it here, It was a little tough in the beginning, being new to any forum. Still having a little trouble as I have typed this email 5 or 6 times. I had tried to show you what I currently have but my JPEG's would not go through. Is there a how to on how to get around? I have tried to enter my birthday and no luck, the instructions are clear but no birthday icon. Come to find out I am not the only one having problems. And how do you make someone a friend? I have emailed the staff and no answer. I am only asking because with that many post you know what you are doing.
