Halloween is on the way! I wonder how many countries have a similar festival? I know that in some beliefs it is not politically correct to bring up Halloween, but was wondering what our fellow stamp forum members or lurkers do in their countries??
TRIGGERSMOB and bandicoot??

I always think of the scary movie "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" when I think of Halloween and here is a stamp about just that.

Thanks!

Whoa Gussy.
Aside from the wings, those angels aren't wearing much of a costume!

Gussyboy, up until recently, Halloween has not been celebrated in Australia. It was seen just as something they do in America.
In the last couple of years though, kids have started knocking on the doors. Personally I hate Halloween and don't even answer the door. I don't like the idea of kids coming around just looking for a free feed. A lot of them don't even get dressed up. It's just an excuse for some free candy. That's my thoughts, Bandicoot might think differently as he is an Ex-pat Yank.

In our town, you leave your porch light on if you are participating in giving candy away. It's only for two hours. I'm usually too busy with the "little devil" Trick-or-Treating to be home.

I have always enjoyed All Hallows Eve. I love getting dressed up in costume, going to Haunted Houses & hayrack rides, sitting around a fire telling ghost stories and eating smores. The candy wasn't a big factor to me.
