Futch, Pause a few minutes and take a breath. A few hints: 1. Multiple images may be put into the same post. (and as just noted, cropping helps.) 2. The answer to every one of your images is essentially the same: it is what you hear on Antiques Roadshow ... everything is "condition, condition, condition. 3. The stamps in the images you show have serious condition issues and have very modest retail value. 4. Do you have specific questions about one or two items, rather than throwing spaghetti at the wall hoping for something to stick? (sorry to be blunt here.) |

The problem is that the "supposedly" is entirely with you, no-one else. You have what appears to be a schoolchild's collection, most of it in poor condition. |

Sounds like to me you're just a little mad because you wasn't the one that came across the stamp lol

Futch, as John Becker suggested please step back and take a breath. The only known copy of Scott #164, the 24-cent Continental Bank Note printing, is identified and certified by the Philatelic Foundation based on the type of paper it is printed on (vertical ribbed paper). Unless an expert can examine your stamp from the back under magnification there is no reason to assume it is anything other than the National Bank Note printing, Scott #153 (which is not uncommon). |

Futch - There is no monetary value to what you have shown but I am sure that there is great emotional value given that these belonged to your grandfather. You should put them aside and have them to remember him by.
Thank you for sharing. |

I'm not sure why you think it is a Continental printing but if you're going by what it says on the note book page, to my eyes it says "United States (continued)" not "United States (continental)." Thank you for posting them. Although not in good condition I enjoy seeing all the varied ways people used years ago to save and enjoy their collection. It's also nice that you have something your grandfather enjoyed. |

I agree @ Shoveler, it is obvious it says "continued". The word "continental" wouldn't even make sense, considering most of the stamps there aren't even "Continentals". To claim having a #164 without even pulling it from the paper is silly. |
