A friend of mine brought these over, and had a bunch of these from a lot he bought. He's looking for value information-- if anyone has any idea, I'd appreciate the help. I looked on Eric Jackson's site and didn't see anything like this.

Thanks, Ray

Hi ray.mac, I think these stamps?/labels are from early stock certificates. I believe they are attached usually to the left side or below the certificate. I am not sure what the value is on these labels individually or as a group but the designs are very attractive.

These are interest coupons from bonds. They would have originally been attached to the bond certificate.

As noted above, they are bond coupons. The bond holder would clip the coupon when the interest was payable and redeem the coupon for interest payment. The coupons are not valuable (maybe a few dollars). Bond collectors discourage coupon collecting because it leads dealers to cut-up bonds - see here https://www.coxrail.com/Certificate...onds/Coupons

One slight caveat to this statement: There are instances where the individual bond coupons were taxed and revenue stamps affixed; they are few and far between, and would be outliers to the above.

Also, coupons from 19th century Treasury bonds can bring high dollars, due to the rarity of these bonds. But in general, bond coupons detached from their original bonds are not widely collected and don't usually sell for much.
