I used the icon to quote. I got "
Quote:
[q/]" NOT "[quo..][/quo..." and thus it did not work. See this:

I also have been struggling with caps vs. lower case in titles of new posts. Lots of unexpected results like "Us" instead of US. There is something about how it parses text that I don't understand and I see the same issue in other posts. How does it work, or where do I find out the correct syntax for new post titles?

Should I post a fresh thread about this?

This may be the faulty memory of an old guy, but I recall a discussion in the far distant pass about this, and it was actually a "feature" to restrict the use of "screaming" by unknowing or uncaring visitors who wanted to post messages in all upper case letters.

Hopefully the moderator can chime in when convenient for him. and set me straight

I did some experimenting in the appropriate area and it does seem like only the first letter of a word can have caps, which occurs automatically even if you post in all lower case. Acronyms just don't come out correctly so I'll avoid them moving forward.
