The sentence was not very long for this mail carrier who was stealing from those on her route.
It seems like most of the time the courts are not very tough on this type of crime.

Prosecutors do not like to prosecute this type of crime. It is understandable that their priorities go to the heinous crimes that come to their attention, but isn't this "petty" theft a gateway to more serious criminal activity? And it is a Federal Offense.

Interesting that there are no photos of the convicted nor arrested. Is there some reason for that? And, no, this is not a "petty" theft, rather charged and convicted as a felony. She is getting more than a year in federal prison.
