Hi Friends:

I need to start filling holes some in my US Classics.

Of the 1869 Pictorals, the 120 has been a tough one for me. I know centering is poor for the series, and I'd like to find one where the entire vignette isn't obliterated.

If you have a nice 120 for sale, please let me know.

Kirk

Okay... Over 130 views and no replies, so I'll pose an addendum to my request.

Do any of you US Classic collections have a reputable (and reasonable) seller you would recommend to me?

Reasonable is subjective and we don't know your price range, but try www.philbansner.com. He has several, including with certs. Certainly reputable.

For a "nice" stamp (assuming you mean F/VF sound) you would probably do best at auction. Take a look at recent prices realized at Siegel or the other auction houses. There were two #120 at Siegel in December with PFCs that brought $225 hammer

I should have been more specific and said I'm looking for a USED F/VF stamp.

As for budget, I can pay whatever I need to, but I don't want to pay more than that. Isn't that basically true for everyone here?

I wish you well in your search, kirks. I'm sure many of us suffer from the same annoyance of trying to fill those holes with hard-to-find stamps that would finish a set and have no empty spaces on a page!

Thanks, Scott.

I'll just keep looking til I find one that looks like the right combination of quality and price for me. This would definitely not be a good hobby for anal-retentive personalities
