Congrats on the find Gibby01. That looks like hours and hours of sorting which is a win in my books!

Well, it took me 2 months but I finally emptied all 3 bags. No missing inverted jenny to report. About the most surprising thing I found in the mass were two Eisenhower booklets stuffed in a ziploc with some mint stamps. The booklets are in perfect shape, not even a fingerprint smudge, BK118 and 121. Not breaking the bank but didn't expect to find them in with stamps on paper. The last two bags had a ton of 1970's German definitives, somewhere around 7-10 pounds of them. Massive duplication but there are hundreds, if not thousands, of geat looking German cancels. On some larger cancels enough paper was saved to include to whole cancel. The cancels might be the reason someone put this part of the lot together in the first place.
At this point everything is split up into country/region and each will need further sorting and review. I've now taken over the guest room for storage. Set up a 6 foot table with piles of stamps. Have also filled several drawers and a few shoeboxes. In order to stay organized am thinking ahead on disposal as I sort thru each country. I may keep the more popular countries separate, US, UK, Germany, Australia, Japan and everything else will go into one box for a WW lot. Either way it'll be another couple of months before the wife gets her guest room back.

Kiloware to me from the wild is 50% defis & 50% comms. Have kept all my definitives for future postmark interest. Interesting you see post mark potential. Happy stamping.

When going through world stamps on paper, I never gave postmarks a thought. Duh. Always something new to get into in this hobby.
