This is all I could get off my stack of covers - minor flaws affecting the "S" in the bottom right corner: |

Thanks for posting it Jimjamtwo. I haven't seen one like that so I can't tell you if it constant. |

Constant plate variety: Diagonal scratch below lower star - the 'shooting star'. |

Looking through the ones I have, I found. I have circled the flaw. Sorry circles are a little hard to see. |

Nice hunting Gyrza! I can confirm that your 1st, 2nd and 4th flaws are constant. I'm not sure about that small spur on the third stamp but I will keep an eye out for it. |

Here is another. My favorite, due to the fact how perfect the dot is. I also have noticed some pretty random inking on the first watermark version of this stamp. The ones below are 2 of the most random. I also have a die one version that is almost solid colour. |

Gyrza,
There certainly are some extraordinary printing and shade variations on this stamp.
Of the two above, the left stamp is die II and the right stamp is die I.
I can also confirm that your white dot between 1 and d is another constant flaw. |

I'm sure you know already but your group of 21 under UV, 2nd row 3rd stamp I would guess from the colour plus its UV is an N9 (ACSC) early issue Aniline Carmine. The other UV reactive ones I don't think are an aniline ink issue, likely a result of long soaking with helicon issues and possibly cleaning products by someone in the past. But that one of the group show both visible light and UV signs its Aniline issue which was only used on that first release labelled N9 in ACSC.
For others the visible sign of aniline is the ink looks like is rich and leaked slightly during soaking. If soaked long it can stain a lot and like other aniline issues can fade as well. Some stamps are easy to tell the aniline ink versions from sight but not always, its NOT a colour shade issue. |
