Can anyone shed some light on the circular cancel on the top left of the card? All I can read is FOYER.

Yes, that looks right. Thank you -- I was unfamiliar with these "foyers." They sound like temporary housing or encampments where soldiers could get some R&R away from the front lines. Does anyone have more info?
