Friedrich Wöhler (1800 - 1882) was a German chemist. He is regarded as a pioneer in organic chemistry and is best known for his synthesis of urea.
The commemorative stamp illustrates his Wöhler synthesis in 1828 and a ball-and-stick model of urea.
