I finished sorting my accumulation of US mini-sheets and will start on booklets to get them all in one set of albums in catalog order.
I think I am going to use 3 ring binder page protectors with stiffeners (to add stiffness and allow two sheets per page without any mounting. Mounts are just too expensive for mini-sheets and vario pages are bit snug for some sheets. I wish there were less expensive ways to mount them to a page.
I also wish USPS would standardize on mini-sheet sizes to just a few different ones.

Blaamand - I have partaken in a few of the auctions the club in Grimstad host, but never been there in person. They seem to have a lot of interesting stuff being auctioned off for sure. |

Yobo - Absolutely. Normally they have a lot of interesting and heavy-weight boxes with all sorts of WW stuff. They actually had an auction last weekend, but I couldn't go as I am offshore for the time I did give it a try with a few blind-bids, but won nothing. At least the objects I had delivered for sale were sold at good prices. |

I sorted through an ounce of stamps I'd received in the mail some time ago but never gone through and put them all into stockbooks. I'll see if any of the US stamps fit into empty spots in my album probably this evening. Sooooo much easier than sorting through a pile of stamps on a table. I think my method in the future will be to quickly sort everything into stockbooks and then mount what I want/need. If things get out of hand I'll do something else (I could see stockbooks piling up quickly), but right now this is at least neat and things are less likely to blow away. (I once, on very hot day, nearly set up a fan to blow directly on me... and the hundreds of stamps I was sorting through. It was a near thing.)
I've also been browsing through albums online trying to decide what I want for Christmas. My parents have been bugging me for a list, and there's just not much I need, so stamp supplies seems to be a good choice. :) |

Trying to catalog my Canada collection onto EzStamp database with photos of actual stamp in the album. Trying to stop buying stamps so I can purchase the full copy of the software ($319).
I need to set up my old printer/scanner. I bought new ink for it but just never set it up. Would have to reinstall the software for it. |

Quote: Received a ISWSC Swap Circuit. Out of 100 stamps, found 46 for my collection. Also soaking and pressing stamps. All being fit in around playing Civ 6. Today I'm reviewing what I think must be the same circuit, found 41 for my collection so thanks Don for your contribution, all the stamps were lovely and I appreciate the cover with forever stamps on it rather than discount postage. |

@stamperJD:
No worries. I hope that the stamps received good cancels. I asked the postal clerk to hand cancel them, but that only caused her to react with panic and anger, and break into a litany of, "...these only go through the machine." |

Stopped in at a local club show this afternoon to retrieve my exhibit (the Cleveland Streetcar R.P.O., 1908-1919), which to my surprise won the show grand and best postal history exhibit. Filled some holes in the neglected later portion of my Liechtenstein collection and doing some work tonight mounting things and updating want lists while monitoring the World Series. (go Tribe!) |

Wow! Congratulations paperhistory, well done. I'm sure we'd all love to see the exhibit. Do you have a digital version you can post on the forum? |

Thanks! There is actually a digital version of it at Philamercury, here. (part of an online exhibit competition of 96 (!) single frame exhibits). |

Went to WalPex in Lexington, Mass over the weekend. This is a two day show and I attended both days. Bought some KGVI Australia.

Hi, This is my first post to this thread, so it may be a bit long.
My latest stamp related activity was to put a large collection of circuit sheets (from east cost stamp club) that were last distributed in 1974 up for sale on Ebay. I've bought/sold a lot of stuff on Ebay and I accidently hit "buy it now" rather than the auction format I prefer. When I noticed it I couldn't change the format, but at least I could change the amount. This also happened on an album/collection of the 1937 British Commonwealth coronation stamps. It was obviously my error, so if they sell, great........if not, I'll list again as an auction.
Previous to this I completed a 9 month long project of moving 1950s WW stamps from old to new Scott International pages. Man, that was a job!
But in doing this I realized that not all the 1959 stamps were in the new pages. Fortunately I found a set from late 1959 thru 1963 and pulled out the pages with 1959 spaces and added them to my albums. The goal of course was to complete pages from 1840 through the entire 1959 year.
Anyway, the project is done, and I can happily look forward to doing normal stamp collecting activities. |
