Yep, no edits. See the rules:
General Rules
1 You buy, sell and trade here at your own risk. Stamp Community will not be held responsible for anything or be required to investigate anything.
2 You must have 50 posts to start a topic or reply in this forum.
3 Maximum three active topics at a time with each topic containing a specific single stamp or lot.
4 Posts may be edited for 15 minutes only. So check your post immediately. <-- This
5 Listing format must be clear. Auction, Pocket it Now, or Best Offer.
6 Payment options must be clear. You may not use any wording that suggests getting around Paypal fees whatsoever, including asking for additional money to cover them. Stamp Community will not be a part of cheating PayPal. There is no argument that will change our mind so please don't bother trying. Listings that break this rule will be removed. If we find out you are even suggesting it after the fact there will be repercussions. It's free to sell here so just get over it, if you can't just sell somewhere else.
7 Topics may be moved to the ended section by using the Report Post link and letting us know it's over. <--- This
8 Topics over 60 days old will be removed.

Hey, I just noticed the good ol' selling forum is back! I never did figure out the replacement system...
I may have to try it out soon. Thinking or doing a major purge of US covers, and I miss offering stuff to members.

Well, after searching here and there in the forums and because I didn't find the answers, I list them here:
1. Actually, can one start an auction here in this forum? (no eBay) 2. Is there a specific auction guidance - step by step? 3. How are the bids received - is it via PM? 4. Is there a must what currency to be used? 5. Is there a limit or recommendation how many images to be used in a post? Is it a problem if some lot contains 25-30 images? 6. If there is one, how is the winner announced? |

You're welcome to sell on this forum - for auctions you mentioned the big word. And by the way we won't mind a give-away here!

No limits on images 6. Winner is last bidder at time of auction close (uses post time stamp). Don |

I'm sorry, one more question, it is not quite clear:
What is the difference between forums:
Post Stamp Collecting Items You Have For Sale Here and Sales Promotion: SCF, eBay, eCrater, eBid, etc. |

Post Stamp Collecting Items You Have For Sale Here - In other words, this is for when you do transactions here.
Sales Promotion: SCF, eBay, eCrater, eBid, etc. - In other words, this is where you post links to other venues.

Mods,
Just a short question to make sure I don't run afoul of the rules if I offer some surplus stamps for sale.
I notice in some cases on other forums when collectors are selling surplus stamps, coins, etc....they'll state payment via paypal and in brackets (friends and family option appreciated).
I notice in the rules here it states you can't request additional funds to cover the paypal fees. So based on that mentioning the friends and family option is a no no is that correct?
Thanks
Bill |

Good Day Bill, I have hesitated to reply because I only have my own opinion on this question. Perhaps Bobby13413 will weight in but until then...
My opinion is to not mention friends and family option in the post and assume the PayPal costs. Don |

Yes, everyone gets to buy and sell free here, so we will not be a party to cheating Paypal. Anyone that has an issue with this is certainly free to go sell on eBay or where ever. |
