odd that wine, beer, and spirits stamps seem limited to just a few different countries ... no US stamps that I'm aware of |

The European Beer Museum, located in Stenay in the Meuse region, was inaugurated in 1986 in an old malt house, which itself had been installed in 1879 in the former food storehouse of the citadel of Stenay. Here is an image of a stamp depicting the Stenay malt house, designed and engraved by Jacques Gauthier, and issued by France on February 25, 1995 as one of a series of stamps promoting tourism, Scott No. 2458, Y&T No. 2954, plus an image of a lithographed poster entiltled "Bières de la Meuse" (1897), by Czech Art Nouveau painter Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), which includes views of local breweries. - nethryk  ]  |

This Singapore 2014 high value definitive stamp with face value of $10 shows a street scene of Chinatown in the 1980s. The top right quadrant contains illustration of a chinese advertisement for distilled spirit or wine.  |

The oldest champagne in the world
In 2010 bottles of champagne were found in a shipwreck near the coast of the Aland Islands.
The champagne was still in drinkable condition.
The bottles were from the 1830s and were sold off for record prices at auction in 2011. |
