Here are images of the four airmail stamps in a set commemorating the anniversary of the first direct commercial passenger flight (by Pan American World Airways DC-6B Clipper John Alden, on May 4, 1956) from Roberts Field (now Roberts International Airport), Monrovia, Liberia to Idlewild Airport (now John F. Kennedy International Airport), New York, USA, combined engraved and lithography by E. A. Wright Bank Note Co., Philadelphia, and issued by Liberia on May 4, 1957, Scott Nos. C107-C110, plus a photo of Pan American World Airways sister ship DC-6B Clipper Priscilla Alden in flight. Note: The first stamp design depicts Idlewild Airport and the clipper, and the second design depicts people at Roberts Field, the clipper, and a portrait of Liberian President William Tubman (1995-1971).

Although I have flown out of, and into, Abu Dhabi Airport more times than I care to remember during my time working in the Gulf, those stamps have already been posted. In that case, here is Dubai Airport, which I have also used often:

Issued 7 December 2014, as part of a set of three stamps showing Dubai Airport development over the years.

During my first stretch in the Gulf in the early 1980's, I was based in Oman and often flew into Seeb Airport, as it was both the military hub for the Sultan of Oman's Air Force, as well as the International Airport. Going back in 2008, there is a brand new International Airport.

This stamp is from the 1973 National Day set:

Issued 18 November 1973.
